Ricers... /rant

the k20 in the civic si isn't so hot. the b18c though can be put upto 300whp stock... so its debateable. i can see where your coming from
Gotta disagree here, did you see the 9 second RSX in sport compact car? learned a lot as you know, but they think the stock k20 is close to the max potential possible from a b18c due to flow in the new head, and yes, I know the rsx is different thatn the Si, you already beat me up over that, and I had it coming.

So adding slicks takes 2 seconds off your 1/4.. ? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
no but it takes off over a second when you're comparing new drag radials or slicks to old 60's tires. copo zl1's run very low 13's stock. with slicks they do very low 12's and have broken 11's. the tires back then were really, really bad. most performance tires today outperform the drag tires from back then. imagine trying to drive a car with over 500 rwhp with a set of 215 tires on it. good luck keeping those tires planted. hell ive only got 400 rwhp with 275/40zr17 bfg's and i have to walk it off the line or the tires just go up in smoke. i can't floor it at all in 1st, if i do it as i shift into 2nd it still goes sideways and smokes them a little. usually i hit it at about 20-25 after im well into 2nd. (4.10 gears, looking for a rear axle from a 4th gen f-body with 3.42's or 3.73's to swap in, these 4.10s are killin me on a daily driver)

Acura NSX off the top of my head.
umm... did you really just say that? here is the CONCEPT of the next generation nsx, it runs mid 12's.

i dont think the nsx was made for 04 or 05, not sure, couldnt find 1/4 mile times for those, but as far as i know they've used pretty much the same engine since they've been around, 10-12 years.

13.7 second 1/4 from a 2003 nsx

slap some twin turbos on there and you might break 11's. nsx's also cost over 80k. vette z06's are more like 65. my old *** gta would smoke an nsx. probably even a turbo or sprayed one. although i probably dont get as much ***** as your average nsx driver //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/greedy.gif.5a53e6246569d7ab79867170f3b06629.gif

that it does, ****ed nice looking car too. but if im not mistaken, a z06 will also hand it its *** on a track. as for daily driving and comfort, i dont know, i dont get the chance to drive many 60-80k cars //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

You said a car that would break into the 12s that was an import, the NSX will do that stock.

I'm positive the corvette will beat it, but i didn't think thats what ur question was.

some kid in a orange 04 gt mustang pulled up to me at a light, blasting his stock system, reving his motor and he got a 1/2 car head start and i just walked him like nothin.. boy was he pissed.. stupid muscle cars

The NSX is a complete supercar, not a drag car, thus 1/4 mile times are not the most impressive ever, but the car is supposed to be one of the best balanced/handling cars ever made. I believe it was the first Honda to exceed the 100hp/liter ratio, which is impressive from any standpoint, and is arguably the most reliable sportscar around. They were made in 04, and 05 but I don't believe there is an '06 NSX, and it will be '07, or'08 before a new next-gen one is out. Still, Ive never driven one, but have crawled around on and eyballed it pretty good, and it is one heck of a car, doubt it runs 11's. I like a car to do more well than a 1/4 mile though.

x100 im sick of people who determin how powerful/fast/good a car is based on its acceleration times... i mean, who cares about handling? nobody races on a track so it dosen't matter, its not like a car that has slower quartermile times could ever stomp someone.

and from what i hear, the NSX has been dropped. very sad indeed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Maybe the kid couldnt drive. My dad has an 00 gt and its pretty fast stock. It looks like all you have is bolt on with your motor swap.
