You are talking about the blue big block though right? The race was at night and the Supra sucked off the line and didnt even attempt to redeam himself after that?
Way to use fundemental attibution error and stereo type everyone who drives a 'rice-burner' Some people think that thoes 'muscle' car fanatics are old fashoned and need to throw a wing and body kit on it.

I don't hold issue with either type of car. I have an oldsmobile and have no right. In respect to all types of cars. IMHO people need to get off eachothers balls about this. Althought I agree with you that a stock car with a wing looks rediculous. But, I like the looks of some 'ricers' and most hoodscoops I've seen have served a purpose, but I think its unfair for you to make a general statement saying that the hood-scoops serve no purpose, for I doubt you've been under the hood of these car's you are judging. I just think people that hate on the cars, should stop... Most of the people I've met that hated on it.. just hated it because they couldn't have it.

i also have that video. the supra was by no means stock. he did a burnout first and it sounded pretty mean. i'd guess 450-550 hp, lot of boost. he did **** off the line though, he never would have caught that z/28.
i'd guess the camaro was running 650-700 hp. it just sounds plain nasty. anybody wants to see it, pm me and ill send it to you.

What about all the people that buy Civics for grocery getters and commuters, people in their late '20s and '30s who couldn't give a **** how fast their car goes in the quarter mile?
**** I can say the same about all these guys that drive old rusted out muscle cars with fat *** drag tires on the back, or jacked up, or primered or sounds like the block's about to crack or sound like modified Harley's which are annoyingly loud.
Yep these dudes want to burn rubber wherever they go just to show "oh man I got a small block sitting in this pile of trash". They want to race just as much and while you watch them sit and spin you also watch the vibrating rusted metal and the nasty smelling white smoke flying out the exhaust at your car.
YAH man, you hear ... I'll smoke anyone! Woo hoo, yee haw ... while they ***** you out about having a ricer with their greasy long hair and black tinted teeth.
It's American Muscle man .... but it's a shell that someone pulled out of junkyard that's been sitting there for 20 years, threw a small block in it, jacked it up, put some fat *** tires on the back .... it's American Muscle ..... man!
They are just as bad as the punk kids with the bad body kits, big wings and the cheap loud farting exhausts that are supposed to make them sound like Ferrari's or Lambo's.
These guys mainly are trendy punks that saw a movie and tried to "fit in" with the Fast & Furious. I sure as hell didn't see many people with crazy styling as I did after that movie. These are the guys that are trying to be cool, the ones watch MTV and listen to only what's new and "cool" at the moment.
Ok so you put an exhaust (most only do the tips), a filter and some triple platinum spark plugs and you're ready to race!

In the past 48 hours I have driven from home, to work, the missus, home again, and then to work. I was tailed TWICE. By idiot Civic drivers. Am I wrong to stereotype? Sure. Am I wrong?
...ehhhh, I would say yes, but everything I have seen only further fuels my hatred towards those whom drive the car.

btw the ONLY street race i've ever lost was against an old 80's golf with a shitty paint job, guy said he did it himself. dude was running a twin turbo v6 blowing 20 psi, says that he put over 20k into the car and runs high 11's. wish i'd had the bottle with me that day, coulda took him if i didnt light the tires up too bad off the line. as it happened, he blew my doors off from 30 and 60 mph rolls. thing was pretty mean. he was also one of these cocky ricer assholes, which made it really crappy to lose to him. ran into him at the car wash, came in one of these "ricer convoys" they like to travel in.

And that's your preference.
The thing is I get tailgated by many sorts of cars, SUV's everytime I drive. Seems everyone's in a hurry to go no where. Or maybe someone's too busy on the phone and they have a lead foot not even noticing that they are less than a cars length behind you.
When I lived in Columbus it was so **** common that someone would come up speeding behind me like I was going at a standstill, only to finally pass me and then TURN! Why did they need to pass me to turn it's not like I was driving under the speed limit.
I think you just have this embedded hatred in your mind that it's only ricers that seem to speed around carelessly, it's not! It's also soccer moms with kids in their cars, old fat sweaty guys with tight suits on eating a double burger or just plain out everyday folks that just have lead foots and are impatient, etc. They'll ride your a$$ until you either turn or get pissed off and start braking.
