Here is my current system after 8mo. system overhaul.

2001 Taurus SEL

HU- Alpine 9887 (Active) w/schoche digital climate control Kit

Processing- AudioControl EQX on subs only

Front Stage- a/d/s M860 (8x60rms)Custom Glassed Front Pannels with Silver flute 6.5" mids and Seas Prestige 1" tweets in the sails

Rear Fill- 2- 6x9 CDT coax

Substage- RF T1500bdcp running 2-15" L7's sealed

Electrical- Big 3 with 0/1 pure copper welding cable, Optima yellow top, 220amp Powerbastard alt. 2-1farad Caps. All speaker wire is knukonceptz 14ga. and RF 8ga.(taurus's **** azz to run wire in)

My issue is with the T1500bdcp. (Brand new, I just installed it) For this test I am running 1 15" 4ohm sub so the amp is not stressing at all.(at least it shouldn't be). All Loudness, boost, eq's are off, subwoofer level at minimum(3 out of 15) The amp is cutting out on me as soon as I reach 19-20 on the volume out of 35. (deck clips @ 33+). Amp gains is set to 2 out of 11. I metered dc voltage at 14.6v at 1500rpm without the stereo load, and 13.8vdc with the stereo system running but when the amp starts cutting in and out the voltage drops to 11.5vdc. All power and grounds are clean and tight. Also I have done this test with 2 different subs and still get same results. Maybe the amp has a bad power supply? My electrical system shouldn't be a problem just had it completley checked out at "Auto Electric Specialists" and they confirmed I was getting 195amp @ 1300rpm. any help is appreciated.

try running an rca directly from HU to amp. Its possible the eq doesnt like the voltage drop. Also try taking the caps out of the system and see what you get. triple check the resistance from neg terminal to amp ground.

if the power light is on and its not going into protection I don't think its the amp. I've run several different RF amps and never had them cut out like that, even when I had a little P300-1 running at 1ohm(its not 1ohm stable) the worst it would do is go into protection after a couple hours playing music at full tilt.
