RF Punch Pro series ? Any good ?

I'm looking for a set of SPL oriented mids/highs. I see the RF Punch Pro series is reasonable, is it any good? I was looking at the 1.5" tweeter and the 6" mid (8 ohm each for 4 ohm final). Both on their crossover.

Will be on a RF T400-4 bridged.

If your looking to get some mids/highs that keeps up try looking into the re xxx components I have a set running on a RF power series T600.2 gain set for 275rms per channel crossed at 80hz and they will play lower but not with that amount of power.

That sounds like a nice setup. How loud does it get? I'm looking to keep up with two HDC3 18's lol

I havent heard them in person yet but I know people who have and they said they were really loud.

I was doing some research since you mentioned these, I like them. I could power them with 300x2 like you are, my only concern is how LOUD they will get. I'm looking to just pop them in the factory locations of my 01' Tahoe (I could put a spacer if needed) and call it a day. I'd like to hear them pretty well on full tilt with my HDC 18's. Am I asking too much?

How loud are your 18's? Personally I'd do some 6.5" PA mids and supertweeters. Even then a single mid per door won't really keep up if your subs are as loud as they should be.

Never had them metered. I'm looking at RE Audio's XXX's and Cresendo's PWX series Pro Audio mids. Could a set of those and their FT1 tweets keep up?

I would think your asking too much for a single pair of 6.5s to keep up with a pair of 18"s you will probably need two pair to even begin to have a balanced sound stage.

I see.. I've been looking around at some "pro audio" mids/highs. I like the AQ (Soundqubed) pro audio's. If I picked up two pairs of their mids/highs and put them in the front doors that should be sufficient? I'm not looking to have a flat response by any means. I just want to hear the music when it's full tilt lol

2 AQ mids/1 tweeter per door will do it. I did that set up in my son's ride and he has an HDC4 18 off 2 2200's and they have no problem keeping up...

Thanks! What amp does he got on the mids/highs? I wouldn't mind picking up the AQ 4 channel just to have all AQ lol

Had an AQ4x90 on the mids, now a Nendo 1000C4. eDnine.2 on the tweeters....
