RF Punch 500.2 questions

My sub died so I'm in the market for a new sub but I looked at my amp and I'm a bit confused...

The sticker on the back has the following...

250 Watts RMS continuous power per channel into 4 ohms

Does this mean that at 4 ohms, if there are speakers hooked up to each channel, the amp will put out 250 watts to each channel? with a total of 500 watts? Or will it be a total of 250 for BOTH channels?

500 Watts RMS continuous power per channel into 2 ohms

Same for this one. Does this mean that at 4 ohms, if there are speakers hooked up to each channel, the amp will put out 500 watts to each channel? with a total of 1000 watts? Or will it be a total of 500 watts for BOTH channels?

per channel means per channel. Are you sure that the 500w rating isn't bridged? The only specs I can find on the 500.2 is 250W RMS x 2 at 2 ohms

500W RMS x 1 in bridged mode

Edit: it looks like you've got the Power 500.2 - that does indeed allow 2x250w @ 4ohm, 2x500w @ 2 ohms, or 1x1000w bridged into 4 ohms. If you hook up 2 4 ohm speakers, they will each get 250w. If you hook up 2 2 ohm speakers, they each get 500w. If you hook up 1 4 ohm speaker bridged across both channels, you get 1000w.

500.2 does 125x2 rms @ 4 bridged it does 500x1 @ 4 ohms.

250x2 @ 2 rms

Sorry for the dumb questions... I'm just trying to make sure I got it right before I bought my sub. The rating for 250x2 @ 2ohms will turn to 500x1 @ 4 ohms right? The 2 ohm load per channel will equal to 4 ohms if the sub is wired in a bridged configuration correct?

If that's the case, which voice coil configuration should the sub be to get the most out power out of my amp? DVC 2 Ohms wired in series correct? I was looking into SI MAG D2 V4's, I just wasn't sure about the configuration and what was the best way to configure my amp/sub.
