rf component fix or what???

i got a set of 6.5" RF T1 in my doors and one of mids blew for some reason. i have a 6.5 RF T1 Co-axial set laying around can i use one of them if don't use the tweeter portion (maybe cut the wires or sumtin) the original set i have is all wired through the component set X-overs at the moment
