Hey I know somebody that is selling a rockford fosgate 800.2 but 1 of the power ports is melted. He wants me to make him an offer what should I offer him? He says it works good he took it out of his car and his friend put to small of a wire in it and thats why it got melted. Do i need both of the power ports to have it work. I would bridge it to get the most power out of it.

Thanks

here is a pic of it

absolutely you need to use what the company recommends. either the wire was too small or it was loose and it melted the jack by arcing, i did that to a home plug adapter once...

stay away from the amp unless you offer like $50 :p

Well I dont' want to spend over $75 on a amp so I figure if I could just kinda make it work for that power and that price I can't really go wrong. Does it really need both? Does it just melt the plastic or is thier damage to the amp?

Thanks for the reply keep them coming

well is there damage to the amp itself or is it just that the plastic melted over it? Cuase I was thinking that I could take a drill and get the plastic out of the whole and then that would work or am I just imagineing things?

well idk if i can fix it or how to even wire it with 2 power inputs. Ill try that

Thanks,

Anybody know how to wire it or fix it?
