Rewire from stock necessary?

I finnaly got my speakers and amp and now I need them installed. I have Alpine Type R 6.5" components for the front and coax for the rear, and an Alpine MRP-550 amp. I went to one shop and they wanted $300-400 because of the tweeters being in the dash. I just found another good installer that wants $210 and $40 extra for a rewire. He says that there is no reason to rewire unless your pushing a lot of power, and he only rewires if the customer requests it. Will you be able to notice any differences in stock wire vs a rewire? I will be pushing 90X4 @ 4ohms to each speaker, max 100rms.

Also if it matters I have a 05 Acura TSX

 
if you're car has a stock internal amplifier then a rewire is nessessary. if the wire is a straight shot from the din to the speaker mount in the dash then stock wire should be just fine for tweets. if the tweets are coming off the passive xovers then they will only be seeing part of those 90w per ch. Look up info on you TSX and look for stock amps your OEM option.

Yes it does have a stock amp with a built in crossover for the tweeters. Im guessing they would have to rewire from the tweets to the amp. Or just splice the wire before the stock amp and run it to the new amp, and same for the speakers? Im not sure about how all the wiring works when they do the install, I just want to know if I should pay the extra $40+ for the rewire. Can you notice a differance in speaker wire ? Between stock vs 16 gauge? Thanks
