rewinding an alternator?

You must be really bad with math
No I'm not bad with math...the 3 places I called about rewinding said when they rewind it they charge for all 140 amps because they don't just add wire winding on top of what's already on there...so there :p //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

ok, but if i do jsut stay with my stock alt, it shoudl be ok shouldnt it? if that other trhead said he runs a 1200.1 and 80.4. but i just want to know if running this could eventually take its toll on my alt and cause it to go out? and how do i find out how many amps my alt is and what would you say the least amount of amps i could run the 1200.1 with shoudl be? thanks

Yeah, it'll be ok. I mean if your lights are dimming then don't wait too long to do something about it. At least you won't be running the AC this time of year.
