Hey guys, when i was wiring up my car today...i accidentally put the Ground wire on the + of the amp and the power wire on the GROUND...then i went to my battery and hooked up the power...

POOSH..a spark in the JBL Bp600.1's two fuses.........

both fuses blew my and friend was like "oh sh!!@#!#!"......then i was like..oops...reversed polarity....

and then i wired it back up and everything worked...

does anyone know..if that was okay? did it sort of "hurt" my amp or the fuses were there to protect it?

You should try to have as many fuses as you can. You should put one up by the battery and a fused distribution block as close as you can get it to the amp. Like indosia said with fuses it would have been fried.
