Retro Solutions HID's

these are the ones I am hoping to get. There has been lots of talk about their kit over on the powerstroke forum I am on. Everyone running them says they are top notch products.

pricing isnt bad and i used their bulbs and ballasts to replace the OEM stuff on the rover... they start right up even after 75,000 miles. havent changed bulbs yet

anyone complain of any filckering with these, or any major ballast problems?
Ive never had any flickering. Nor has there ever been a time when they didnt start up. They have started up EVERY single time I had switched my lights on. DEfintely good stuff!

There like the Sundown of HID's!
dang it, now I have to get them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I am pretty new to this stuff though, the Bixenon kits give you both high and low beams correct?

Yea you will probably never use your high beams though. I have stock halogens high beams and never need to use them cause the low beam HIDs are bright enough.

If someone gets a kit, please research to see how your car reacts to HID's. I hate ppl that put them in there car and they have hideous glare that blinds everyone in front of them.

Most HID kits will do that unless u got projector headlights...... or just aim them really low and you wont blind anyone.

Yea I rarely use mine as it is but I just hate the idea of loosing options or functionality and such. Its one of my pet peeves lol, plus adjustability of some sort is a good thing to me.

Yea I know a bunch of guys who have converted their trucks (same as mine) to these lights and most certainly want them setup right. Don't want to become one of those douchbags running down the road blinding everyone.

Like for my Explorer I got no choice but to keep them in the stock housing and blind everyone. They dont make HID projectors for Explorers.
