Resurgance of GM?

well, supposedly there was a oriental man who made some super batteries.....he started out making them for his kids toys...thought he would get a couple more months out of them...turns out they were lasting like 2 and 3 yrs longer. So now if my memory serves me correctly, he's now making them for the US army or something.
he's the guy who made a lotus with an elctrical motor running from 1200 some labtop batteries and it did 210+ mph

Sorry, but every decent looking design GM has churned out the last 2 years has been stolen from Audi/Volkswagen. Except the HHR and Cobalt.

The new Malibu looks like they stole the idea out of the Audi trash dumpster (take the center bar out of the grill) and the dashboard on the Tahoe looks almost exactly like the one in my Passat but made out of cheaper materials. No awards there. And that Acadia? Have you seen the original Toureg? Hmmmm

The problem with the new Malibu is that it's not nearly as big as the cars it needs to compete with. It's not nearly as roomy as the Altima or Accord. Yet it costs about the same. I drove G6 at work and was impressed with the power and handling (V6 GT) but couldn't help notice that it had half the back seat room of my Passat or an Altima.

Saying that, I think Honda stole the new Accord from the BMW design team. It couldn't be more blatantly obvious.

the lead engineer for the volt had been working in germany for years before coming back to the states for the project.

Wouldn't surprise me.

All companies do this, it's called "reverse engineering"

I think the new Camaros will help them out a lot. I get the feeling they will sell a ton of those. To me they are extremely sharp looking. I'm hoping to pick one up sooner or later.
