Sup yall, i've been out of car audio for a while and need a little help remembering some specific things. Picked up a 95 Caprice yesterday and already had the thing outfitted with the system, rims, paint, blah blah blah. Heres the check list:

Havent poped the doors or deck to see what speakers it running, although i think they might be components cuz of the tweeters in the columns. Guy i bought it from is a repo driver so he didnt know. The subs are gone first thing. From what i've been reading, the cap is just for looks and im really more about function over fashion. Other than that, from what i do remember; everything else is pretty good equipment. Only thing about the head unit thats really pissing me off is I cant seem to get it set right. the mids and highs aren't coming through the speakers as loud as the bass. Music like slayer sounds really shitty without guitars. Haven"t ever messed with the touchscreen before, but messin with the eq really didn't help. Has a lot of features i've never come across before. Also got the amp on alt. pass, but should it be on high? Also theres the infamous whine coming through the speakers that gets louder with gas pedal. Thats a bad ground if i remember correct. And if theres a better battery cuz i dont want to get stuck. any helps appreciated.
