Well, I now have an active front stage. I'm running an 880 and a Denon 4 channel to some entry level bostons right now. I'm looking for links or other resources to learn about how to properly tune. I wouldn't mind hearing what settings some of you are running (so I can have a starting point) but what I really want to do is learn as much as I can. I don't want to just plug in someone elses settings. So, what are some good places to start. I've played with the crossovers a bit and the overall sound has improved, but I'd like to get to a point where I actually understand the changes that I am making. Also, how do you set the gains when you run active? Do you just use one test tone or multiple?
