Resonant Engineering vs. Eclipse vs. JL!!!

Not for $80... thats how much cheaper than the Eclipse they are! I can get them for $100 though (ofcourse its gonna be used)! The eclipse new is like $220-240.... i have a friend though that can get it for me for about $175 and then the W6 is like $250 new but can be had for much less around ebay (not so sure that id like to buy a woofer off ebay though.... but if its the best of the three ill take my chances!

cheapest ive seen a W6 new on ebay was 275 i think, i havnt looked at any used ones though

It was. The SX replaced both the HC and SeXXX.

but RE definatly is nicer than JL...

I wouldn't agree with that. But, we each have our different opinions.

its not like im an RE fanboy... i just "preferred" the SE to the W3... i have no

experience with the W6... but it is hella expensive considering there are other

options...

i believe the SExxx would have been an awesome sub for me... D@MN THE SX!!!

i own 1 of the older 12" hc models.. i feel it was the best choice for me... its sitting in a 2.9 @ 37 hz and is amazing.... not too many ppl in your area will have them either, so you get to be unique.... hey audiolife.. where at in indy are you?

Looks like the HC is far and beyond the best! Now how big of a box should i build/buy? im just looking for a range for a sealed and ported box.... depending on how big the box will be i will choose which one to go with!

you can get HC for $100? how many can you get? hell my 10w3v2 are worth that much. I rather have HC lol

Two is the most i can get... im only getting one though as i have no room for two, not to mention i dont have the extra money to buy an extra woofer/bigger amp/box!

So what about the box size? just looking for a range as far as sealed goes!

I went with the HC bc i had a 15" HC in a ported box 2.5@32 Hz and i loved it. gave it 1200 watts and it sounded great. If you can get a 10" HC for 100, then by all means, go for it man, and if you dont want to, hook me up with the deal. W6 def. has better Sq, but doesnt get as loud and is reasonably more expensive. I think the HC beats the eclipse in spl and sq. Oh, and the SX did replace the HC, but as a more SPL oriented driver, the SX is still a good sql sub though.

The SX officially replaced the HC, and unofficially replaced the SExxx. The SExxx was never an official model which is why it wasn't officially replaced. but according to the guys at RE, the SX has better SQ and output capabilities than either the HC or SExxx, for about the same money. Hence them both being replaced.
