Resonant Engineering got bought!

Sounds like what everyone else is saying.
a doubling of prices overnight for no reason other than "because we can" is total bull$hit. It's because of that yuppie attitude that I'll never patronize those greedy bastards.

It's like bars charging $11 for a mixed drink because they want people to think they are "upscale", even though nothing has changed except the price.

It's a bunch of crap. What makes it worse is that there are enough idiots out there to go with the flow of such robbery.

Anyone know of any *ethical*, small companies like RE used to be? I'll gladly patronize them as long as they do a good job and charge reasonable prices for their products- just like RE used to...

Again, PHUCK USAmps!

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif this is funny just cuz US amps took your precious RE away you suddenly hate them. literally overnight the hatred began which was so crazy. eh well thats how things are. no point in complaining, it wont change anything. i personally dont like the way the RE buyout was handled but what can I do? also think about it people, the online community is a VERY VERY small demographic in the car audio world from a business standpoint

I think it's kind of funny that all of a sudden RE is starting to be as hated as eDuh. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
I guess no one likes sell-outs.
I was a hater presellout //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif. Maybe not forever though...we shall see. Hopefully US amps can improve a lot of RE's flaws while still keeping fair prices and product quality up.

And yes, you can still get RE products but you must go through a dealer.
Funny how RE does that and e1 says fok them....and another company //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif does it and no one really cares //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

im pretty sure they jacked up prices direct to encourage dealer sales. if you buy form a dealer the prices are still the same. and from what i have heard us amps makes some of the most reliable amps out there. i bet you are the kind of guy that only likes things becuase they are small and undiscovered, then when they hit it big or whatever you say you hate them cuz they sold out. they still make dam good products and thats all that matters. /rant.

ok...hate to bring this thread back but.......can someone direct me to an RE dealer or if u got an SE 12" laying around, hook me up!!
thought I saw an se 12 for sale here....

If not, reaudio.com. Call re and they'll give ya your closest dealers.

On a more on topic comment, I'd be willing to bet within a couple years legislation will be passed that says manufacturers cannot prevent a dealer from selling their stuff on the internet and using thier logos to do so. HOWEVER, the manufacturers could be selective about who they allow to be distributors of thier product and allocate resources (products) based on how they adhere to what RE wants to do.

another kinda on topic post.

yeah RE is gone.

There will be something their to fill the void.

supply and demand.

some people (as surprising as it is) are not money grubbing people and rather want to stay close with consumers and give good customer support.
