REs in Eclipse

I want an opinion on if 2 RE XXX subs would fit in the back of my hatchback, 1996 mitsu eclipse. I want to push a RF 30001bd to both. Do you think i have enough room and would it still sound really good? do i have to make the box to recommended specs from RE?

1) To run that RF, you'll need a pretty beefed up electrical system.....something to keep in mind.

2) What size XXX's were you lookin' at?

3) Give us the dimensions of your hatch //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif The box doesn't have to be to the exact specs given by RE....but the only way for us to know if an appropriately sized box will fit is if we know which size subs you were lookin' at and if you give us the actual dimensions you have to work with.

Also, I assume you were wanting a ported box?

dude that particular car is LOUD with any sub setup. I had my loudest setup in that car. Dual Orion XTR 15's off of a 300w alpine amp lol MY GOD was that loud. You don't need friggin 2 xxx's to make it ridiculously loud. Not only that but the interior is made like shit so everything rattles with high pitch noises and sounds like *** with too much bass. Believe me i owned that car for 5 years as my commute car.

and dude there are 4 different sizes for xxx's no one knows what setup you want?

Now there is no way you will get 2 15's in there if you want to port them. In a sealed enclosure yes. YOu could fit 2 12's ported though.

But i"m telling you 1 15" would be MORE THAN ENOUGH even sealed.

and the alternator in that car will not handle anything close to the power that amp has. Even with 500w total in that car the lights blinked REALLY BAD. Its got a terribly low power alt in it. You'd need a custom dual alternator setup in your car for that. 1 for the car and 1 dedicated to the stereo. Probably need a 200-300amp alternator just for that setup.

I would like 2 fit the 2 12" XXX in it. Yes, i would also like it ported. The demensions for the box that RE gives you is the same as my trunk mostly but an inch smaller in all demensions. I do already have a huge alternator and 3, 2 farad caps. The whole car is in the process of being stripped and matted. I had 2 12 inch audiopipes in it with a 10001 to them and they would rattle cars next to me....Only hope my hatch doesnt shatter once I get these subs in.
