what part of NE are you in? I'm in Omaha. mokedaddy ..(is in Omaha too)..who is a member of this forum is good at box/vent dimensions. he designed my vented box, and it sounds amazing. pm me if you want to hear it and are in/near omaha.

Using every inch of your given dimensions, and 30 square inches of port area, the lowest tuning I can get is 37hz without dropping the port area more,

Just for comparison... 2 cubes with 24sqin port area brings tuning down to 32hz

any way the box could be just a tiny bit bigger?

well its in a 95 camaro so unless u made the box less wide at the bottom (witch IMO wouldnt be THAT hard to do) i know for a fact that ure not gonna get any bigger then that.... we had to remove some plastic from bholtmeiers hatch on his car to get that box to fit in......//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

That's still exactly 2 cubes - but that's also before driver displacement (about 0.15 cuft)

So basically you're looking at 1.85 cubes tuned to 33 with 24 sq in of port area

Top and Bottom: 28" Wide x 15" Deep

Left and Right: 12" Tall x 15" Deep

Front (Baffle): 12" Tall x 23.75" Wide

Back: 12" Tall x 26.5" Wide

Port 1: 12" Tall x 12.25" Wide

Port 2: 12" Tall x 12.25" Wide

Volume: 2.00 Cubic Feet (before sub displacement)

Port Area: 24 Square Inches

Port Length: 28.25" (14.00" before bend, 13.25" after bend, 1.00" end correction)

Tuning Frequency: 31.6 Hz (disregards sub displacement, will be a touch higher)

After a bit of thinking here are a few things you should know

When building your box, cut the hole for the sub last

Also make sure to use shorter screws near the sub hole so that you aren't screwing into where you will jigsaw later

Have made a fiew boxes before, just had cancelation issues with the first one and not enough port area on the second. Have yet to hear my mag in a decent box.
