Repubs stab Obama in the back after he plays nice

First you have to make medicare and medicaid work..hell social security doesn't even work..your link left out a lot of things as well. Doctors offered yearly service rates and they actually had group plans from groups ..you may have heard of them Shriners? Mason's? For some odd reason they were demonized....
i don't think any of the 3 will work without proper funding and good people in charge. Also they need more talent delivering care more efficiently. The best and brightest are usually recruited by the private sector

I have heard of them, Shriner's is making a comeback last i saw (pretty sure i saw some commercials for it). I haven't heard of them being demonized, but i would guess its because of people's skepticism of such secretive groups. But

So where are you going to get the 103 trillion dollars in funding to keep those programs rolling? You do understand what sustainable and unsustainable mean right?

taxes!!! yeah its all kinds of messed up. But i guarantee if all 3 were just scrapped there would be riots in the streets.

Planned riots in the streets again this is nothing new
word, it'll be like the freakin 19th century.

I bet the healthcare industry wishes they had an "easy button" to press, same with the military dealing with that garbage in the middle east.

One thing's for sure, time will keep rolling and what's gonna happen is gonna happen. Whether i agree with things or not, this is still the country I want to be in.

i didn't say that, and you coming up with those assumptions is what we in the medical world call "projecting." its when you take something personal that really isn't a personal attack because of some deep insecurities you hold. In other words, get over yourself, i have a right to my opinion and it does not have to have anything to do with you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
That is not projecting. Projecting is applying your own feelings to others, or the outside world, in order to deny your own perceived inadequacies.

What exactly do you do in the medical world?

insanity: doing the same bad thing over and over and expecting things to get better.
'Bad' has nothing to do with that definition of insanity. What an insane person does may be 'good'. The correct definition is: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Kind of like voting the same corrupt political parties into office and expecting positive results. 'Good' intentions, poor foresight.

Raising taxes is never the answer. We've seen it every time it's tried... it doesn't work. It's simple econonics, but liberals believe in keynesian economics... which is a shortsighted view and has been disproved time and time again.

liberals would look at running a business selling widgets and say if you have 50 customers every month buying a product 1 time for an amount of 1.00:

that if you raise the price 2.00 your profit will go from 50.00 to 100.00.

Conservatives know that by raising your price, you most likely just drove customers away. You made some mad. Others can't afford it. Others can find it cheaper elsewhere. Chances are you've cut your customer base in at least half and the best case scenario is to break even with what you had before.

Conservatives know that the wal-mart model of sales is the only real way to consistently turn a profit. You cut out the middle men/overhead to maximize your profit without jacking the prices up. Then you do your best to slightly undercut your competitors by slight amounts on all products. This in conjunction with offering a wide range of products cause you to make your money on shear volume of sales vs profit margins.

The same applies for the government. Lowering taxes has EVERY TIME IT HAS BEEN TRIED, generated extra revenue. You have less people evading taxes. Less people looking for loopholes. More employers employing. More money in the pocket of consumers to spend. You get tax revenue all over the place.

Raising taxes causes people to have to cut their budgets. They spend less. They stay home more. Employers downsize. We've seen it in the last few years.

It's VERY simple stuff, yet the left doesn't get it. The politicians do.... but unfortunately the people that vote for them do not. They all have their hand out wanting things instead of wanting to go earn it for themselves.

Those of us on the right are not cold or heartless. We just want people who work to keep more of what they earned so that they can afford things like healthcare. The govt can help further by tort reform. Prosecuting lawyers that specialize in frivelous lawsuits so that malpractice insurance rates go down etc. There are a LOT of common sense things that will reduce costs and make healthcare affordable. socialising it is not one of them.

I treat cancer with drugs that will be considered inhumane in the future
