Repub debates tonight, Paul slammed

I just think he will have alot younger supporters. especially ones who have never voted. I know he has no shot, But I will still be voting for him. I cant see myself voting for anyone else. I dont like any of them. Huckabee isnt the worst though. he would be my 2nd.
If nothing else Ron Paul got alot of people off their couches and ready to vote, hopefully they don't just go back to their couches in future elections.

Even if he doesn't win, voting for him based on his issues will hopefully make other candidates take note of his positions and pick some of them up. If he picks up enough of the vote, other candidates will have to take note as those votes might have been in their pool had Paul not run, and it might cost them the election.

Like I said read up on Economic theory of politics.

I also vote according to the min/max regret theory

IE i vote to minimize the risk of the worst outcome i could see happening ( the person i didnt want to win, wins by 1 vote, what could have been my vote )

RP is plum crazy, all there is to it. Even if he was elected he couldnt do shit b/c of the separation of powers.
yup, he's out there. I think RP's best quality is he's a straight shooter, I get the feeling he wouldn't blow smoke up the public's ***. Crazy + honest doesn't = good though

Also I think risk analysis voting is the only way I see for myself as well

I'm tired of voting like this. For once I'm going to vote for the candidate that I agree with and the one that I think will do the best for me and the country, not the one that the 2 party system hands me and I think will do the least amount of damage while in office. Call me crazy, call me a cult follower, I could care less. I think Ron Paul is the best person for the job and he has my vote. Even if he does not win I know I will have voted for the person I chose, not what is handed to me.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

what makes his crazy *** better for you?

Im guessing your a college/high school student as 3/4 of this board is. RP is against student loans, do you recieve any funding from them?

30 years old and own my own company.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
thats nice, successful?

Do you have kids? RP wants to get rid of federal funding from schools and make it more like a market... Would you want your kids going to a school without federal funding?

I like his stance on most topics, and most of the ones that I don't agree with him on he feels it should be left to the descretion of the states. Plus, like previously pointed out, the guy is a straight shooter. How many other candidates are talking about what caused 911 (democratic or republican)?

Working on the successful part, we have only been up and running for a few months now. And nope, no kids, in fact I don't want any so why should I pay for others kids to go to school?

Straight shooter yes, but you left out the crazy part. Not saying we haven't brought some bad juju on ourselves via our foreign policy, but the bolded part above is a whole nother can of worms.
