will this throw my sound off? having aftermarket tweeters and stock speakers i feel like it would make my music sound odd..
Because one of my tweeters is on the verge of blowing and at the monent I can't afford new speakers, only like a $60 pair of used tweetersWhy would you do that?
That's the plan, but for the time being can I throw in some aftermarket tweeters without it sounding retarded?i would just wait until you get a little more cash and just and get new components all together
Why blow money on just tweets when you could save a little more and just get components? That's the plan, but for the time being can I throw in some aftermarket tweeters without it sounding retarded?
Generally, this is not a good idea because in a multi-driver system, even in stock factory system, the drivers and the crossovers were matched to work well together (hopefully). Now if you buy different tweeter, does it have the same impedance as the old? Does it have the same sentivity as the old? Does it have the same resonance frequency? Frequency response and distortion characteristics? All of these could throw the sound off.will this throw my sound off? having aftermarket tweeters and stock speakers i feel like it would make my music sound odd..
You'll want to just clip the wires to those things. I've never ever heard a speaker in that location firing off the windshield sound good.don't mean to revive a dead thread but i just saw there was a response to this.... here's what my situation is now (not my personal pics):
