you do not want to remove the dust cap if you're trying to replace a broken tensil lead

if the lead is fried, chances are it'll also be fried all the way up to the voice coil and even then the voil may also be friend. You would likely destroy the cone trying to do this unless you're really good.

i read in your old post you had some tinsel lead, any left. if not do you know where i can get some.
