Replacing Stock H/U with computer controls

I have a 2002 Monte Carlo SS with a stock CD player. I am considering changing it out to a aftermarket. The problem is the CD player controls the stuff like Headlights(auto on/off), tire pressure monitoring, and other stuff. I know that i can buy the insert thing that will have the controls on it, and still run a aftermarket H/U, but i don't know what they are called. Whenever i search it just comes up with the simple plastic kinda.

Also is there any way to run the steering wheel controls to a aftermarket H/U?

Or should i just stick with stock and not worry about it?

Interesting.. thats different. How do you set the tire pressure monitor and everything with this unit?

The one i seen was the plastice insert kit that the new cd player sits in, and the extra space has a small screen and a couple buttons to use the settings of the car.

I see the adapter is for the Bose system with onstar. I have the onstar(not activated), and i dont believe my system is bose. I just need to keep stuff like the tire pressure monitoring and light controls.
