replacing stock battery terminals

Disconnect from the battery and cut them off. There is no residual "charge" being held.

The poor guy is simply asking if, once the battery is disconnected (unbolt the stock terminals), can he immediately cut the stock (crimped on) terminals off.

The answer is yes. Cut them and continue with your big-3.

Good luck.

the wire i was thinkin if the whole chargin system itself held one.. i got them cut and new terminals on and 2/3 wires connected and it started raining so i finished getting 3rd wire ready with terminals on my porch soon as its done raining big 3= done with new nice battery terminals

Why would you think battery terminals are capable of holding a charge?
its electric ive seen guys on commercial construction sites have things hold a charge and take a zap so it was just a safety question.
