Replacing Leather?

Im thinking about buying this explorer... only one con really.. the middle console which is a arm rest also the leather is torn. its pretty bad... how hard would that be to replace or should i just take it and get it professionally done or could i do it myself.. ive just never had to replace any interior before..

upholstery shop should only charge like $75 to redo an armrest, call ford you migh be able to still get a new cover or whole armrest

ebay would be a good place to check for an replacement arm rest...

It's not too difficult to do yourself, but if you don't want to mess with it, and you want it to look perfect, just pay an upholstery shop to recover it for you. Should be cheap.

The wife and I replaced leather with latex. Been happy ever since.

Don't forget to ask for "soft Corinthean leather".
