replacing HU on '04 dodge

Okay, I had it installed in my old car before. I think I might already have the antenna adapter. So I need a wireharness, and a dash kit. And all this can be found at wal-mart and best buy? I just connect wires to their matching colors?

Does your truck have the Infinity system?

If not, all you need a few pieces.

Here are the model #'s you need from metra.

99-6503 (dash kit)

70-6502 (harness)

40-CR10 (ant. adapter)

Parts should be ~$35-40 at a local shop.

Your dash is an easy one.

Should take ~20-30mins if you know what you are doing.

I can pop those trucks in and out of the shop in a heart beat.

what do you mean from metra? brand? How would I know if it had the infinity system? I have a cd player built in

Come see me at Car Toys. I'll get the you GOOD parts (Metra) cheap. And not all 04 Dodge Ram radio installs are cut and dried. You either need a $100 RAP retention harness, or you have to run your own ignition wire from the column. If it's the Infinity system you have to have the RAP harness, or do an amp bypass AND run your own ignition.

I just bought the parts at best buy. About to go try it out. So the wire harness I just bought plugs into the harness that came out of the stock head unit? Then splice together the one from my alpine?
