replacing HU on '04 dodge

I don't know how to replace the stock headunit on an '04 dodge. I know how to wire up an amp and stuff, but dunno about the headunit. I have an Alpine 9884 that I want to put it. What all do I need? Instuctions? How hard should it be?

you really telling us you can hook up an amp and not a headunit? i highly doubt that. you should read a book try this one.

take off dash, remove stock HU, Buy dash adapter, put dash adapter in, buy wire harness adapter, butt splice wire adapter and HU wire harness together, install HU docking collar(or what ever that ring is called), attach wire harness to car, attach wire harness to HU, push HU in to dash, Place Trim plate on, Cheer!

Dont just pull on it, there is a screw you need to remove first.

I wouldnt use walmart parts they ****, BBY has them but they will be expensive.

The parts you buy at walmart are Scosche. It ant the best but they do the job just as good as a really expensive part. A wire harness is a wire harness. As for there dash adapters I don't see what you could really do yo make it better other then use stronger plastic which unless you plan on kicking your dash it isn't going to do anything.

It's very easy to install a hu.

Buy the wire harness and dash kit at walmart or where ever u can buy them the cheapest. They are all the same and do the same. They are vechile specific, so make sure u buy the right ones.

All u have to do is splice and connect buy matching colors. Either solder or use electrical tape or do both( which is the best way to do it. )

If u don't feel capable to do I, take it somehere, bby or local shop, it is usually no more than 40$
