replacing home speakers

i have an old pair of audio acustics or what ever they are...there is a 2.5" tweeter, 4.5" mid, and a 10" woofer...i want to replace them all and the crossover...i dont know much about replacing speakers though...i need a 8 ohm impedence for my reciever what impedence speakers do i use? and what crossover? any help is appreciated.
