Replacing amps mounted directly on a subwoofer box.

My box now is made of i think 3/4" MDF. Right now i have an amp mounted to the side of it using standard 1" woodscrews i believe. Im thinking of swapping my amp for another one of different size. Should i cover the old holes up, leave the screws in? I want to avoid air loss in the box. Its on the same side as the 32hz port

well if there not all the way through don't worry about it, if they are cut the carpet in an x pattern pull it back and fill/patch it then glue it back down.

I'd be more worried about eff'ing your amp up from it being on the box than covering up some screw holes that don't even go into the box.

I get that. But he should be asking how to prevent his amp from taking abuse, not stressing over 1/128th inch holes.

There *is* no other place for me to mount my amplifier.
