SSA ICON is a 1,250 watt subwoofer and can really hit nicely when done in the correct ported box.

Might also want to find out why you "toasted" it on a 1k amp so it doesn't happen to new sub

Are they reconeable?

If you blew a 1250rms subwoofer on a 1k amp you have some issues to address before throwing another subwoofer in.

I'm pretty sure it blew because of clipping. I set the gain with a multimeter, but my son was driving my car for a bit, and I learned afterward he would drive the head unit volume to the maximum volume because I neglected to tell him not to go past where I set it.

It was in a sealed box. I've had a few systems over the years,and this is the first time I have had a blown subwoofer, so I'm pretty sure it was due to a little neglect.
