Replacement for 12 SX

I want to sell my 12" SX (let me kno if someone wants to buy it). It is just too loud and Im looking for more SQ. For $225, what can i get to replace the SX? I want good SQ and medium loudness. I will be feeding it 900w at 4 ohm. I was thinking of SS Rl-p, 15" Type-r, AA Avalanche or RE SE. I prefer sealed but ported is ok too.

dude , you have the funniest request, you want a replacement for an SX 12", you have 900 @ 4ohms. its too loud for you. but youre running 900W. youwant SQ. .....does anyone see anything shady or abnormal here.? if its too loud, turn down the gains, also i thought SX were SQ subs. well alpine type X would be for you if you like. 1000W rms, not to loud, excellent SQ, sounds like a winner to me.

No SX subs are not SQ subs...in fact i couldnt get any decent sound quality out of my old SX. FYI

Oh and since this is not a for sale thread, $215 is probably a dab too much for a 12 SX... I got my 15 SX for $190. The 15 SX's usualy go for around $215 shipped.

the reason its lil higher is because it only has about 2 hours of play on it and its just barely broken in. not trying to rip anyone off. jus need to switch subs for daily driving and sx is lil bit too much for daily.

loud meaning the bass is lost within the loudness where SQ should be making a difference. Not loud like spl wise.

i want to get rid of that muddiness.

how are type-r's compared to rl-p? maybe a stupid question but never tried either one.
