Repairing a tweeter? dayton rs28a-4

i just picked up a set of dayton rs28a-4 tweeters and one of them seemed to take some damage during shipping.

the grill got pushed in and cracked the dome.

i got it popped back out and the grill reshaped

in the last couple pics you can kind of see a little flap that is sticking up on the top of the dome.

i was wondering how could i fix this?

i was thinking about a tiny drop of superglue to reattach it to the dome.

but i dont want to add too much mass,

although a very tiny drop of super glue should weigh pretty much nothing.

i am just not sure what to do.

any advice would be appreciated.

and yes i know the pics are huge but you cant see the cracks and stuff when they are small.

**** Magic, that is major ****! I can't help you but i will offer you my sympathy....i hope you can get it replaced or get on the seller and/or the shipping company!!

well i am thinking about filing a claim with ups since the box was beat up pretty bad.

and with the 100 free insurance they give you they would probably just give me money for another one.

Do they make a "butterfly" for that tweet? Basically just a replacement dome and coil that drops in to fix things like that. Hit UPS up for the full tweet price and buy the butterfly, pocket the difference for your trouble.

so i think i will talk with ups and hopefully they will replace it.

if not then i will just live with it.

If it buzz's then it def wasent like that before is hipped it. It was perfectly loud and crystal clear. And the other 1 i think i sent u was the brand new 1 i had...... oops. lol cause i have the other used 1 here.
