Removing factory head unit

http://www.crutchfield.com can help you out right there, get the harness (most likely you'll need one) and they send you the instructions for free on how to remove the old head unit. Just make sure that you fill in the correct areas for your car. They also have free online live chat with technicians that are able to help you out.

Do you have pictures of the dash? I've worked a lot of Hyundai's but I could probably tell you right here if I saw it. The temp controls usually have rods that need to be loosen before removing the head unit. There's one behind the glove and one under the driver's side dash. Then two screws that hold the ashtray in. You should be able to pull it out from there. Hyundai's are pretty straight forward.

pop down your local car audio place and ask for the prongs to pull the HU out. if they dont have them im sure the guy will tell you how 2 do it!!!

????

This isn't a ford, german, or aftermarket HU. There are no "prongs" to pull these out.

use an axe!! bigger the better! then duct tape the new HU in there an cover any gapping holes u made by mistake..

its not that hard to figure out tho realy... i mean look for screws, dont see any? pry it open a little. repeat until u can pull it out... dont worry bout cracking the securing brackets, superglue works wonders.

but if ur balls havnt dropped yet, then just go get a Hayne's repair manual. its only $20 at ur local auto store. good investment cuz itll solve alot more problems than just ur HU... oh an they also give wiring diagrams too :p this means u dont have to spend 15-20bucks on a stupid 50cent interconnect.
