Removing amp board from case.

My lanzar's fan is acting up, and making noise. I would like to replace it, however it won't be possible without removing the board. The stupid ******* engineers put the bracket on the BACK of the board. The screws holding the fan onto the vertical mounting bracket are on the bottom, so that's not possible either.

I would unscrew the board and pull it out, but it looks as if the fets are attached to the heatsink with a glue/heat transfer paste. I have never done any kind of repair on an amp, and worried that I would destory it in the process.

Any ideas?

Closer pics of the fan/bracket please. From what I can see in the first pic is you can remove the screws from the fan and replace it. If you have never done amp work do not remove the board. Polo.

Make sure you are "grounded" and have discharged any static electricity build up you have or else you can and will short out the board...and then its back to lanzar it goes....in all honesty if you are having an issue with your fan send it back to them...

The screws are on the top of the board, but they go through to mounting bracket on the bottom. The bracket is wider than the hole in the board, so even if I unscrew it, the bracket will not come out of the board.

It really doesnt help that the riser board behind the fan is tilted towards it, leaving a 1/2" gap.

Ya, I typed before he posted. There has to be a way, the pictures aren't clear nore close enough for me to see. I have never come across an amp I had to remove from heatsink in order to change fan. Polo..

What is the model #?
