did you connect the remote line to the right wire on the headunit?
get a multimeter
they look like this - you can get one for $13 at
harbor freight
and turn the knob to DCV (Direct Current Voltage - sometimes just says DC, or V, and there is a switch for AC and DC - make sure its on DC and Volatge) and attach it to the remote wire (just touch the probe to the amps terminal) and turn the car off. if it reads ANYTHING (most likely 12v) its been hooked up wrong.
check to see if your power wire is freyed and touching the remote wires terminal. that could be the cause of the problem.
also, take the headunit out, and make sure you have it connected to the right wire. it should be connected to a blue, or blue with a wite stripe wire (NOT THE YELLOW WIRE - THIS IS ALWAYS 12V+)
the blue wire sends 12v when the CD PLAYER is on to the amps, letting them know to turn on as well, and whent he cd player turns off, it stops sending 12v to the amps, and the amps turn off.
find extra wires on the back of the CD player, and strip a bit off the end, and put the black wire on a ground (metal spot in the dashboard that is a frame support to the dashboard, or the antenna wire works well too) and then take the posativ (red) probe and touch the end of the wires, turn the cd player on and off, and if one of the wires sends 12v when the cd player is on (car is on too) and it sends 0v when the cd player is off, this is the wire you need to run to your amps.
if you cant figure it out for the life of you, run the remote line to the RED wire off the back of the cd player. this is a switched ignition wire. it will turn the amplifier off every time the key is taken out, and on every time the key is turned.
good luck. hope i helped. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
