remote wire in GXP.

Installing an amp and sub in my G8 GXP, can somebody suggest a good place for my remote on wire, a good location that is in the trunk. The battery is in the trunk of the car, is the fuse bax also in the trunk? I really do not want to run anything to the front fuse box. The car has an factory amp. Can I splice in to any of those wires?

I had to tap into the illumination wire behind my factory hu in my 06 malibu. It's not that hard, just look up the wiring diagram for the gxp and find a remote 12v source and use it

Take out a multimeter, and start probing. You'll need someone up front to turn the key on and off to make sure it's an ignition wire.

All else fails, grab ignition or accessory at the steering column. ALWAYS FUSE. Use a small 5amp fuse.

Hopefully you have it on the output side of the fuse...

I always add a fuse.

I did, only ran it that way for about a month. Had to do something while I was waiting on money to get the dash install kit. Now everything is hooked up properly
