remote turn on

Im new to all this and still do not quite understand what to do. to install my remote turn on wire for my amp, do i just cut the blue/white wire behind my sony explod stereo and attach my turn on wire to that? Is this blue/white wire used for anything, or will it effect my stereo?

the REM, or remote turn on, as you call it does exactly what it says it does, it turns the amp on and off. if you deck is new, the wires should be labeled. if not, its usally the blue or blue/white. it shouldnt hurt it if you pick the wrong wire.

your remote turn on wire is blu/white... blue is power ant. and will only power up when the radio is turned on.... the blue/white will turn on everytime the radio powers up.
