i couldnt find a good ground in my trunk so i found my power antenna ground and used that for my amp aswell, also my remote turn on for my deck didnt work so i tapped into my remote antenna's turn on and that works for the amp aswell` //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif is this safe ? seems like a niffty fix up. *just a new way to get arround a problem //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

if i was you i'd make a ground in the trunk of your car..... drill a whole and put a metal screw trough the whole and connect it to the ground, as far as the antenna for the remote........... i know a couple of people that have done that since ur antenna only comes up when the radio is turned on it should be fine, but if your antenna comes up when the ignition is turned then your amp will be on when the radio isn't

some people dont listen to music every second there in the car........... if he turned his radio off for some reason i was just letting him know that if the antenna is wired to the ignition then the amp would stay on.

^^ x2

as far as "finding your ground in your trunk"

dont be a dolt man, you are supposed to MAKE a ground. any METAL part of the body of your car = a ground. im sure that is not hard to find dude. just sand off the paint with some low-grit sandpaper, wew! and then put a ring terminal on your wire and use a self tapping screw and a star washer between the ring terminal and the bare metal and thats a perfectly fine ground - i recommend looking on the left\right side of your trunk behind the carpeting, there is usually a flat panel above the wheel well that you can screw thru and see 'both sides' of the panel. please dont screw thru the floor of the trunk, and please dont screw thru the side of the car or into the gastank.

if you break anything - its not my fault //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

My radio stays on till i open the door but yea that could be a problem. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Yeah, no doltage around here...

Scrape away some paint, use a solid self tapping screw...or a nut and bolt...and make a **** ground.

Also, you can tape into the Red wire on the back off the HU. It's the igniting wire...aka turn on for the HU.

What happens when you switch from "radio" to "CD"? Does your antenna retract? If so, wouldn't it cut power to your remote?

the antenna wire that goes to your antenna is the same wire as the remote wire in most cases, it says "antennna-rem" on the wire, when the tuner comes on it automatically pushes the antenna up...... whether your on cd or tuner mode. when there's power in the tuner there's power to the antenna-rem wire. and if your ever in town and there's someone with a car with a retractable antenna beside you with a aftermarked cd player, when they change cd's you will see the antenna start to come back down, b/c when this happens the player stops making power b/c when you flip the face plate down, it doesnt make power except for edjecting the cd, when the cd is out the antenna starts to go down, when they put a new cd in the antenna goes right back up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

if your radio stays on until you open the door then your antenna comes back down at the same time the radio turns off, so therefore your amp will be on w/ the radio until the door is opened. same thing if u had it hooked straight to the remote wire //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif no worries,
