I want to get a remote start/security system for my GAGT but IDK what one to get. I'm pretty addicted to the "viper" brand name but I can look at different brands.

I was originally planning on getting this one...

But then after looking it over the other night I noticed that It did NOT have remote start, which I kinda want but is not completely necessary. Or in other words I CAN do with out it if i have to.

Another option I seen now was this one...

This has pretty much everything I want. BUT it is a bit on the pricey side.

This is the one I would really like but can't seem to find a reasonable and trustworthy place to buy one or get it installed for a reasonable price. I think circuitcity charges $160 for install of security/remote start systems?

I'm looking to spend under $430 INSTALLED

Any ideas guys?

Edit: Also, am i going to need ANOTHER $90-$100 adapter box to make something work for this car? I already had to buy a $100 adapter box to keep the door chimes.

ALSO:

After getting some opinions and looking around online, I decided to try and buy a viper 5900 online.

Have you guys ever herd of this site

http://www.dealercostcaraudio.com?

and do you think I should order from it? I was thinking of just buying the viper 5900 from there and paying a local shop to install it.

I called and asked how their prices are so cheap and the guy said that they were cheap because they don't have a showroom to pay for and the people selling you the items over the phone don't get commission.

Well, I'll tell you that I have a Viper 5900SST and love it. Amazing range, and worth the $500 it cost me since it gives me peace of mind after becoming paranoid when my car was broken into and about $1500 worth of stereo equipment was stolen.

the LE units are more because they are brand new. much better, and badass. a little easier to install but also requires us installers to buy a new bitwriter chip or new bitwriter that are on backorder. they are badass units tho. i am gonna get the 5901 at some point

id highly suggest the 5900 over the 5701, Ive personally put in a good amount of 5701s and for every 10 I install, 6 or 7 come back with (the 2 way) remote issues, or even brain problems. 5901 is a different story, but they're more $$$. As for the 5900, none have come back, really ever.
