I've never heard of TRC. Then again, I'm probably not a good source because none of my friends have remote start on their cars, so I wouldn't really know what brands are good. I'll ask around though.

i have never heard of trc. who knows, they could be a great new company....but if u need service on the system, they obviously have a very limited dealer base. On the other hand, DEI is a car security/remote start meccha. almost every dealer that does remote start and security carries at least one of DEI's lines. I'm going on 3 weeks with my viper (DEI) alarm and am totally amazed by the range it gives me. I'd say its worth it to buy from a well, known, reputable company that you know will be around in the future. just think, once you sell your current car you will probably be able to transfer the remote start system into the new one.
