Anybody done one...how much of a PITA and what product do you recommend?

Any sort of Pass-Key or similar theft deterrent come stock on that? If not, it's not too much of a problem. (Speaking from experience on installing a unit on my '88 Brougham, but that's before all this fancy computer ish)

as far as i'm concerned it's one of the easiest vehicles ever. done hundreds of them over the years. pick up a GMBP from bypasskits.com or your local dealer and it'll make life way easy. check us out http://www.bzcaraudio.com

easy easy easy only issue i have seen is if the factory security kicks in it wont let the truck start at all and u have to wait 10 min for it to reset to start the truck. generally a bad bypass causes that. get a gmbp or GMBPDL works or a 1700g for everything

easy easy easy only issue i have seen is if the factory security kicks in it wont let the truck start at all and u have to wait 10 min for it to reset to start the truck. generally a bad bypass causes that. get a gmbp or GMBPDL works or a 1700g for everything

would this apply to a 99 tahoe?

1700 g doesn't work for everything until 2003. It will do the passlock integration. Yes it's the same for 1999.

for bypass and door locks/ factory alarm interfaceing..

easy truck imo can have a rem.start/keyless/alarm done in under an hour or soo..

Yeah, have had the same problem before, just tap into fctory arm and disarm. Problm solved
