Remote output from head unit question

How many amplifiers can you turn on with the signal from the remote output wire?

Is there a limit to the number of amplifiers that can be on the remote output line?

If using 3 or more amplifiers do you need to run a relay

I would run a relay turning on more than 3 devices. A number of years ago I was running 3 amps, a eq, and a crossover with just the head unit turn on. After about a month, the turn on wire stopped working. I warrantied the head, and bought a relay.

Some people will say that it will probably be ok without it, but relays are cheap insurance.
