Remote on monsoon stereo?

I want to install an amp and 2 12" subs to the factory monsoon deck in a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am GT. What I really need to know is if the monsoon deck has a remote wire or power antenna wire for the amp. If not, how would one wire the amp so that the amp turns off with the radio?

I'm pretty sure it would have a remote since it has a factory amp, but i'm not positive on that, go to your dealer and get wiring diagram to find out for sure. Youre definitely going to need a Line Output Converter though.

Good point....I never took that into consideration. I'll double check with the dealer to make sure though. Thanks! And as for the line level converter...don't think I'll need it. The amp has a High Level input so I'll probably just tap into the rear speakers for a signal.

Actually i'm positive it has a remote wire, because i hard wired a bass light in my friends 02 Grand AM GT and tapped into the remote wire, im pretty sure its the blue/white one, although it may be blue i really dont' remember.

The amp has a High Level input so I'll probably just tap into the rear speakers for a signal.

What kind of amp?

It's a 300 watt crossfire amp. It's somewhere around 4 years old. Before I replaced the deck in my previous car (a 94 cavalier) I tapped the rear speakers for a signal as well...so I know that will work. When I replaced the deck I just ran a line from the decks pre-outs to the amp.
