Remote lead???

I am installing XM radio into a 2001 chysler sebring sedan. I cant find a place where i can wire in the unit so it only comes on when the car is on. I am not sure which one is the remote turn on for the radio, or I would use that (it is a stock radio/CD). I can easily wire it straight to the battery, but i dont want him forgetting to turn it off, and let the battery die. If you guys have any idea of what to do, any and all help is appreciated....Thanks

plug it into the cigerette lighter. the unit automatically shuts off when the car is turned off.

run it to the interior fuse box to an ignition controlled switch. the typical chysler remote wire is red w/ white stripe by the way.

Unless you that for a fact on the Sebring, sometimes it doesn't...I know the one of my van doesn't.

i think that the delphi plug n play kit (assuming that's what he has) automatically shuts off when the ignition is turned off. i don't think it's just based on the car.

Ok, i did find that the ignition wire is the red with white, but thanks to whoever came up with that....

The sebring's cigarette lighter does stay on all the time, so it doesnt help much. The person I am installing it for, needs the cigarette lighter to charge his phone. I would like to think that there is a way for him to listen to the radio and charge his phone....

If I were to wire it to the ignition wire, do i just find a ground, and ground the negative wire???
