Remote gain causing pop sound

When i turn off my head unit the sub makes a big "pop" sound only when the remote gain is set up (phone line type) when i run the sub without the remote gain hooked up, just off the amp and the settings on the head unit, the sound does not happen if i turn off my head unit. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for your help

I'm not sure of the problem, but you really don't need a bass remote. I'd take it out.

Who are you to tell hi, his prefrences and likes? You do not even know which amp it is so you are unaware of the function on the remote...

it sounds like a dirty bass control to me. it happens, just replace it with another if you can and see if that stops the problem.

i have the kenwood 05 model amp, and i know you need the remote bass for those for sure, or else you would have little bass

dirty. same thing like when an EQ or deck trips balls as you turn the volume up and down it gets scrathcy.

its not the gains man, there different with different amps trust me!

check your grounds and gains, etc. some kid i know had the same trhing happenin n it was his ground...but he had his gain set way to high too so check both of them.... its definitly not the remote. good luck i hope this helps

Well actually I believe the remote can cause some feedback when shutting off the amp, which would lead tot he pop, I couldbe wrong though.

i know the grounds are good the remote gain im using is not for the amp... i have a tsunami amp and the remote gain is for a kicker... i bought the amp used and it did not come with a remote gain... i figured a remote gain is a remote gain am i wrong in assuming that?

anyone know where i can get a remote gain for a tsunami amp? i checked quite a few places?
