Remote access to another computer

Im not sure if that is exactly what you would call it but.....

Heres what I want to do. I am decent at computers, not great at all, but my mom is terrible. Is there any way that I can get on her PC from mine?? I live about 3 hrs from her and its not easy just to run over to here house when she has a problem. Both of us have high speed internet. I know its possible, they do it at my work all the time when we are having trouble with our machines. I just dont know how.

VNC lets you take over a desktop, rdp is a remote desktop.

What are you trying to do?

VNC is good if you need to 'show' someone something.

at&t makes real vnc. there are other companies also.

We use VNC inside our WAN for some desktop support issues.

http://www.MYWEBEXPC.com is the best one i've used... i use it to remote in from college and home to work all time.. just go to the site, set up an account on your computer, then go to hers and add hers to your "my computers" sections and away you go...

RDC WILL ALLOW YOU TO TAKE OVER ANOTHER PC. If your the remote person then just ask for control.

I would have to look but I believe it only works with XP PRO though.
