Religion

But is there even an underlying "why"?
It may be too much to assume even that.
There is if you choose to ask those questions. Sure the earth will still revolve, grow, change, etc regardless of any established religious belief, but that doesn't mean religion is a fraud.

If you choose to just accept rather than ask questions then why are you discussing science in the first place?

But some studies have shown that there is a common trait found mostly in Mammals, that killing your own kind is "wrong"..... is this just programed to aide a species' survival, or is there more to it?!

.... and on another topic, the more you learn about all things, the more religious you become. A look at the top "minds" in human history will show an extemely religious group.

explain cannibals.

elaborate with examples please.

Yes explain cannibals.... who get Spongiform Encepilepathy after too many years on their practices?
diseases don't explain why they eat eachother though.

My other point, Einstein, Aristotle, Newton, etc. were all very religious people.
"You will hardly find one among the profounder sort of scientific minds without a peculiar religious feeling of his own. But it is different from the religion of the naive man." - Einstein

Exactly what I said, the "thinkers" are religious as well.

Back to cannibals...why would they be "punished" for eating eachother? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

The only thing in this thread that ticked me off was that "religion is man's way to control the masses."

Thats such a tired argument. The originators of most religious texts and the major characters in them were extremely focused on being true and moral.

Even if you don't literally believe in religion, the texts can still teach valuable lessons that can help greatly in today's society. Don't dismiss religion because some ******* shoves stuff down your throat.

ummmm... dominator--- what is "I make rear-loaded, double crabshell, isobaric enclosures." lol.... off topic!
It's just what it says... an enclosure. The best ones ever.
