Pentecostal baby....and lovin' it

I enjoy my belief and I pray to God all the time. Thank Him for the day, thank Him for everything He has givin' me, the trials He has always led me out of. I think He's always there for all of us. For every one at anytime.

God is an every day thing for me, I guess you could say. I have also noticed when I steer off the path that he has laid down for me that I start to loose things, everything starts to go bad, and things just arn't as good. But when I'm walking the path He has laid out for me everything goes great time goes by and every day is so enjoyable.

I was just throwing in how I felt....

John 3:16-17 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world but to save the world through him."

Then my favorite Verse...

Phillipians 3:14 "I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."

its becuase christianity gets shit on in this forum. Most of the regular members that are christians dont post much in a religion thread anymore since it always turns nasty and people get linched and then the thread will get deleted or locked. Then everyone is mad and pissed at each other and start makeing a lot of other threads and every thing turns into fights.

I am christian although I may not seem like it.
I would never deny my beliefs in Jesus Christ! (Thats just me)

I love my faith, God, etc. Even though I don't always act like one, but no one is perfect //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

Those that do are not true believers.
I dont deny it my faith, I just struggle living the right way.
My religious beliefs are as follows:

I believe there is a God, I believe he created the world, and I believe there was a man name Jesus, who was his son. I believe Jesus died and was resurrected. That is where my ties with Christianity stop. I feel that if you live a good life, and believe that there is a God, and that Jesus was God's son, your life should be spared, not condemned.

In my opinion, just because other people don't believe 100% what we believe, that does not make them wrong. If our religion is supposed to help us be better people, then how come other religions that make people act better towards others don't recieve salvation? Its stuff like that I don't like.

I also don't like that whenever there is a dispute on something, Christians always make it work THEIR way, and will not accept any chance of a doubt, because if they do, their religion will be at fault, and they can't allow that.

I find a lot of Christianity closed-minded, from my personal experiences.

no, i dont mean it like that. ist just that i at least grew up and was taught that i should profess my faith. but on here there are less christians that have professed their faith than non-christians. there is absolutely nothing wrong with someone who is agnostic or athiest or hindu or any other religion posting.....i just thought it was odd b/c it was something big that i was taught growing up but its not showing up here. there is nothing wrong about it. all the christian people voted dont have to post. it just seemed odd that there were more non-christian posters than christian posters b/c of how i was brought up.
One problem I have with Christianity, is that in school we are taught to do all this stuff, like all other religions are wrong, they will all go to hell, that we must correct them. It is really similar to the Nazi style of euthanasia to me.

Thats what I do not like at all with Christianity. It closes people minds to outside thoughts and beliefs, when in reality thats what they need to know more if they are going to argue it. They simply say "you are wrong, I am right" and expect to

get a good response.

So very true. I have friends who are Baptist / Protestant (I'm Catholic) and they always feel the need to tell me how wrong I am, or at least they used to. I think the first thing that turned me off to Christianity is that it is an active-religion (always trying to recruit new followers).

Some people came to my door one day and said "Have you heard about the teachings of Jesus Christ?" I replied, "Yeah, they've been around for about 2000 years now, I think I've heard about it. If I want to come to your church, I'll come on my own."

i was raised catholic/christian you could say. i was baptized as a baby, went to a catholic school and church until my dad decided to start takin the family to a non-denominational christian church. things were good, the way things were taught there you have to be baptized at an age you understand why you need to be baptized so i was baptized again.

after that my parents enrolled me in a christian school, i dont know what denomination it was, if any, but i did have a problem with the way they tried to implant their churches beliefs on everyone at the school. it was alrite i guess, couldnt do much, but then i moved out to florida and went to public school. found a small non-denominational church in orlando and go there, but as of lately i dont go as much. i guess you could say im not the christian i should be now cuz i dont do what the typical "christian" should, but i do pray every night thanking God for everything, and i do believe that Jesus died for everyone n resurrected himself.

i forget who said it but someone mentioned how religion = politics, and you know what? that person was speakin the truth. too many people nowadays use religion as a tool, rather than a way of improving one's life.

im glad everyone in here is bein honest with their beliefs and with what the other kid said about christians confessing their beliefs i have to tell him something. most of the people that profess to be christian are bible illiterate, meaning they couldnt defend their position if they were to have a discussion with people who have different beliefs. me, i dont know as much as i should, but im confident that i kno enough to back up my beliefs. but then again the people that do say that they're christian should profess it. its what God asks them to do in the bible.

people should just believe what they want to, religion/beliefs shouldnt be forced on anyone who doesnt want to believe. believe what you want and be confident in it....

i would never force my religion onto someone else. i think that is all wrong.

what i was trying to get at was what i put in bold. we are called as christians to profess our faith. and yes, most of the people can not back up the beliefs which they need to be able to do. personally, i can not pop off scripture to people for the most part but i can share my testimony if people were to come up to me and ask me about my life.

earlier when i posted all that it kinda of came out wrong. i knew what i was trying to say but couldnt ever get quite the right words.
