Reliable SUV with good MPG?

hate on ford if you want but my family has driven fords exclusively and has never had any problems outside of normal maintenance, mine is approaching 11 years old now, and I've had it for the last 5 and have never had any issues.

If you know how to maintain a car it will last.

Anywho, I would have to recommend a Ford Escape/Mercury Mariner or a Toyota Rav4

X2 on Faulkton mentioning the Escape Hybird. I would check those out. I have a ford St focus and get about 24/32 and its a 4cylinder car. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
I test drove one of those a little while ago, and was very dissappointed with the enigine. Good MPG, but you could fvcking walk there faster.
