regular computer VS custom buit...

the only advantage to building your own now adays is you choose what parts go in it where most manfacturers tend to use cheap motherboards. They build it for so cheap because they buy such a bulk manufacturer direct they get it for less than the stores we buy it from get it for. my computer is custom built but only because I have a system that would be ridiculous to buy from dell or hp with the video card and stuff on it.

Also if you get a PC with OEM Windows just format that ***** and install an illegal version again so you don't get stuck with all the shit Dell, Gateway, Compaq integrate into it.. legal licenses are overated //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Just about all pcs, except hp, are shipping with OS disks now so you can reformat without the shitty software.

so you still never said how much your lookin to spend and are you gona be usin it for gaming or just for a workstation? so far amd>intel and the battle continues //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

well i think ill build my own again, yall have a good point about the mobo and other cheap parts they use, and my budget is around 1000, but i dont have the money yet, so im not sure of my budget...

it will be used for light gaming, but mostly for a workstation...

I've always custom built computers for friends, but myself never been too pleased with them. The pre-built systems seem to take much better consideration for air flow, wire routing and overall durability. Sometimes you pay a premium for this, but I'm at a point where I'd take a reliable PC over something cheap.
